DVCA Bushfire Appeal

Our thoughts go out to everyone affected by the devastation caused by the bushfires across the country.

With this in mind, the DVCA Executive would like to instigate a fund-raising initiative to support our local CFA brigades who have been involved in fighting the fires in Victoria. We as a cricket community have the power to raise funds to support our local community & our brave CFA members.

The DVCA Executive will be starting with a $1000 donation. We ask all clubs, if they wish to be involved, that a gold coin donation program be instigated to collect funds during the next round of cricket on 11 & 18 January. Clubs are also able to make a donation if they so wish.

The DVCA Executive members will be able to collect funds from the clubs in the week of 21 January.

We are also aware of clubs who have initiated their own programs to support the bushfire ravaged communities.

Below is a list of what clubs are doing to support in their own way:

Epping Cricket Club are collecting goods such as drinking water, sports drinks, toiletries, linen & clothing to take to Wodonga on 12 January. The Epping rooms will be open to accept donations Thursday 9 Jan & Saturday 11 Jan. They will also be playing a fundraiser T20 match against the Epping Football Club. For further details, please follow the link to their Facebook page

Banyule Cricket Club will also be holding a fundraiser at their rooms during the game on Saturday 18 Jan with all funds raised going to Foodbank Australia. All are welcome, for more information please follow the link to their Facebook page
