The DVCA is currently seeking a Junior Manager with outstanding administration skills and strong work ethic to coordinate their junior cricket program.
The key focus of the role will be on:
The DVCA junior representative program
Coordination & Development of junior umpires
Ensuring the junior competition is conducted within the DVCA rules
Open, relevant and timely communication with DVCA clubs and the DVCA executive
Annual review of junior cricket formats, playing dates and rules in order to provide recommendations to the executive.
The ideal applicants will have a keen interest and previous experience in cricket administration, a passion for junior sport and be driven to contribute positively to the Diamond Valley Cricket Association.
Weekly commitments will vary throughout the year with certain periods to be busier than others. It is expected that the commitment on average would be 15-20 hours per week during the season, whilst a further 5 hours per week in the off-season is to be expected. An appropriate honorarium will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Excellent computer, phone and administration skills
Ability to work to deadlines
Knowledge of cricket and its general playing rules.
Interest and previous experience within community sports
Previous experience in the administration of a junior club/competition
Previous experience in coordinating representative sporting teams
Previous experience within a cricket club or other local sporting club/s
